French Drains
When built correctly, French drains can drain high water tables and correct soggy lawn areas.
Dry Creek Beds
If your yard is prone to heavy surface runoff and/or erosion, a dry creek bed can be an attractive solution, sending water through an erosion-proof channel and safely out to a street or wooded area.
Drain Boxes or Catch Basins
Another solution to heavy surface runoff, catch basins collect storm water and send it out through a buried pipe.
Gutter Exit Piping
Often the first issue for a house with foundation moisture issues is to properly collect and exit all gutter water. We use 4" buried, glued, smooth-walled PVC pipes and sweep fittings to ensure long-term clog-free removal of water. For every 1000 square feet of roof, approximately 625 gallons of water are yielded in a 1" rainfall. Using hard, glued PVC prevents crushing and root invasion.
Foundation Drainage
In severe cases of water intrusion, the culprit is often the "cold joint" at the bottom of the foundation wall, where it meets the footing of the house. Hydrostatic pressure can damage the structure and push water into the basement or crawlspace. In many cases we offer a complete solution in the form of a curtain drain, which allows us to guarantee no more water intrusion for as long as you own your home.

We build timber, dry-stacked stone, and mortared retaining walls; walkways and paths; flagstone, pebble, and paver patios; and timber, rustic, and formal stone steps.
